Horse Camps

When attending this camp, you will have the ability to enjoy the activities of our Wild West Camp, but also have two hours of barn time DAILY! Your barn time will be split between arena lessons, trail rides, and fun, educational ground classes. BUT WAIT! You can also add Adventure Options such as Paintball, the Breakfast Trail Ride, or the Overnighter! Join us for a full week of summer fun while we learn more about God and His love for us.

This camp is geared towards first time riders or those wanting to improve their walk and trot. Those looking for more advanced horse camps, check out our Western Riders Camps or English Camps.

Come and enjoy the beautiful trails that stretch across our 600+ acre ranch. With hours of trail riding, arena instruction, ground classes, and our unique Lunch Trail Ride, you can’t go wrong with this camp! After a long morning ride, enjoy a lunch provided for you out on the trail. These trails provide various levels of difficulty. Come and enjoy with us, God’s amazing creation during this adventure filled week!

This camp is geared towards those wanting to learn to ride and those wanting lots of hours on the trails. If you are looking for higher arena classes check out our Western Riders Camp.

Are you CRAZY about horses? Perfect! This camp is specially-designed for Ranchers who are “horse-crazy!” Come and enjoy ALL of the activities we offer with horses: vaulting, driving, trail rides, and arena lessons, ALL with horses! Have you had enough horses yet? NO!? Don’t worry, there are MORE horses! You will divide your time between those horse activities above, PLUS have a daily ground class, where we will teach you as much as we can about horses! Come and learn more about one small part of God’s amazing creation–the horse–and most importantly, how much God loves you.
 
This camp is geared towards those wanting to try many different activities with horses! If you are looking for more specific focused arena lessons or trail rides check our other camps such as English Camp, Western Riders Camp, or Trail Blazers Camps.

Register early because this camp fills fast! We will focus on helping you improve your riding skills in the arena, and take you out for a fun trail ride. Some of the things covered in classes may include western pleasure, western riding and/or horsemanship patterns, Drill Team maneuvers, and games on horses. Whether you are a recreational or competitive rider, join us for this fun-filled week as we enjoy the gift of riding and learning about God’s gift of grace!
 
This camp is geared towards Ranchers with previous horse experience. If you are looking for a more basic riding level check out our Horsemanship Camps.

This camp has something for everyone! If you are new to English riding or have been riding for years, come join us for this great week full of quality arena instruction, as well as educational and interactive ground classes. The lessons will include the fundamental basics of the rider’s position and how it affects the horse. Depending on the riders skill level they will have the opportunity to better their balance and control through a jump or a course of jumps towards the end of the week.
 
This camp is geared towards those wanting to learn English riding, as well as those wanting to improve their riding skills.

What do they mean when they say, “That horse is green”? If you have ever wondered that or have an interest in training horses, come join us for this incredible week of camp. We will teach you some of the training techniques used to get a horse broke to have good ground manners, as well as making them easier to ride. We will have guest instructors such as MMR’s Director, Matt Cox, in during the week to share with you their love for horse training, but most importantly, their love for the Lord!

Come and experience what Reining is all about! During this intense* week of riding, we will introduce you to and/or help you with the maneuvers unique to Reining. Softness, body control, and precision are important to performing a good reining pattern. Throughout this week of camp, we will give you the foundational tools that will help build those very things in both you and your horse. Speeding up or slowing down your circles, smoothing out your spins, and setting your horse up for a successful stop are just some of the things that will be covered in your classes.

Bring your creativity and team spirit, and get ready for an intense, fun week of riding! This specialized camp is for those who want to ride in a Drill Team. During the daily lessons, you will practice riding in lines and keeping equal spacing. You even get to help select music and design the drill you will perform in the week’s closing Rodeo!
