Happy December!

December 2020

We want to start with a quick update on the last few months. In September we welcomed 11 new students to our School of Discipleship program. They joined 3 students who stayed for a second year. We have 2 of the guys joining our family for this year, Kyle Hilton from ME and Josiah Gross from VA. They are both very outgoing, love a good game of frisbee golf, and are excited to learn.

This fall we were able to host most of our retreats and events, though we had to limit our numbers some. We were so glad to be able to provide a “getaway” for our guests and a relaxing, God-centered atmosphere.

Teddy has been working on winterizing things around the Ranch, taking down/cleaning up many rotting and damaged trees to keep houses, buildings and play areas safe and started the groundwork for an archery pavilion that will, Lord willing, be built this Spring.

Hannah turned 1 on August 24th and started full time walking about a month after! When she isn’t eating or sleeping she doesn’t stop moving, talking or making noise. She is a joy to watch as she discovers new abilities and sounds and tries to form words and communicate what she wants without whining. (still working on that last one) She understands so much and it has been a challenge to us to really watch what we do and say and how we act because we have seen her mimic us so many times already.

Hannah is also very excited to be welcoming a new brother or sister in the Spring!!! Yes, we are having another baby!! Noelle is 20 weeks and feeling wonderful! She loves being pregnant and we look forward to meeting, face to face, this second child that God has entrusted to us for this time.

We pray this Christmas is a sweet time with family and that we all remember the reason Jesus was born in that stable so long ago. Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year!

With love, The Purdie Family
